Communities are springing up everywhere and they are proving to be a real help since they are niche specific. Gone are the days when communities where generalized so now I belong to several; one a parenting site, another a pet community and a third relating to Drupal. I also frequent SEO and WordPress type forums.

One of the most useful communities for me is ZooToo. This is a community dedicated to pet lovers helping other pet lovers. And we do help each other. Whether it is health tips, food or grooming, there is always someone there who can offer some advice from their experience.

That is where communities really do work. People discuss issues based on experience, not on what they can sell you. The end result of course is that our pets are a lot happier, and so are we. Having pets is a responsibility that needs to be taken seriously. Communities like ZooToo help you treat your pets as they should be. There is one special feature of ZooToo, they donate food to pet shelters to help provide food for lost and abandoned animals.
